DVE - Multivariable Insertion Design Vortex Flow Meter

Brand: KOBOLD Instruments, Inc

The DVE multivariable insertion-design vortex flow meters use up to three primary sensing elements for flow measurement: a vortex-shedding velocity sensor, an RTD temperature sensor, and a solid-state pressure transducer to measure the mass flow rate of gases, liquids and steam.

Three models are available:

The DVE-V vortex flow meter provides a cost effective volumetric flow monitoring solution for most liquids;

The DVE-T vortex flow meter incorporates temperature sensing to provide a compensated mass flow reading of saturated steam;

The DVE-P multivariable vortex flow meter delivers mass flow, temperature, pressure and density readings from a single device.

The Benefits of Multivariable Flow Measurement

Systems that use external process measurements may not provide adequate enough compensation for process conditions that can change between the point of velocity measurement and the point where upstream or downstream pressure and temperature measurements are happening.

Because the DVE measures all of these parameters in one single location, it delivers a more accurate measurement.

Integrating multivariable output capability with a single line penetration also simplifies the system complexity.

It also helps reduce initial equipment cost, installation cost and overall maintenance costs.
