KEC Series Thermal Energy Flow Meter

Brand: KOBOLD Instruments, Inc

KEC flow meters operate according to the calorimetric measuring principle. Additional temperature and pressure compensation is not needed.

The KEC is suitable for demanding industrial applications due to its: rugged design, the aluminum die-cast housing, and rugged sensor tip made from stainless steel.

The newly developed evaluation electronics digitally records all the measured values. This delivers fast and precise measurements for a wide temperature range, up to 180°C.

The measuring span is 1 to 1000 and allows for measurements in both low as well as high flow speeds, up to 224 m/s.

An integrated Modbus output is standard with which all parameters like Nm³/h, Nm³, Nm/s, Nl/min, Nl/s, kg/h, kg/min, ft/min, °C etc. can be transferred. All parameters can be adjusted directly at the instrument via the display or the service software.

There are also two 4-20 mA analog outputs available for flow and temperature, along with a galvanically isolated pulse output for the total consumption.

Remote diagnosis can be carried out via Modbus and relevant parameters can be checked and changed, if necessary.

If and when process conditions change, it is possible to change the gas type, the inner diameter, the scaling, zero point response and the leak flow volume suppression. Via remote diagnosis and status update, any excessive temperatures or failures of the sensor can be easily identified.
